 What does a membership at Zoo Boise include?

  • Free admission to Zoo Boise for one year.
  • Free or reduced admission to other participating zoos (please consult our reciprocal list for more information).
  • Subscription to Animal Tales, our quarterly newsletter
  • Subscription to our biweekly e-newsletter
  • Exclusive member entrance to signature events:  Easter EGGstravaganza, Zoo Daze & Boo at the Zoo.
  • Discounts on education programs, birthday parties and purchases in the Zootique gift shop!

What is my membership contribution used for?

Your membership contribution goes to help support the mission of Friends of Zoo Boise of supporting Zoo Boise in the areas of animal acquisition, capital improvement projects, education programs, volunteer opportunities, and special events. The goal of each of these components is to increase public awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of the zoo, wild animals, animal habitats, species conservation, and the environment.  Zoo Boise cannot run on admission prices alone; we depend on the generous support of many individuals, foundations and corporations.

Is a Zoo Boise membership tax-deductible?

Yes, your Friends of Zoo Boise membership is fully tax-deductible.  Please consult your tax advisor for more information.

Can my nanny be included on our Family Membership?

The Family membership only includes people living permanently at the same address.  Family, friends, nannies and other guests who do not live at your address will need to pay regular zoo admission or purchase their own membership.

Does the Sustainer/Contributor level include a family and grandparent membership?

No.  The Sustainer and Contributor levels include either a family or grandparent pass, not both.

Can I purchase a gift membership?

Yes, please call the Friends of Zoo Boise membership office at 384-4125 x200 to order a gift membership.

I lost my membership cards; can I get a new set?

Replacement or additional membership cards can be purchased for a $5.00 fee.  Please call the Friends of Zoo Boise membership office to order.
