ZBCF - For Applicants
Are you interested in applying for funding from the Zoo Boise Conservation Fund?
Since creating the Zoo Boise Conservation Fund in 2006, Zoo Boise has turned the act of visiting the zoo into a conservation action. In just five years, zoo visitors have generated more than $1,000,000 to support wildlife conservation in Idaho and around the world.
Zoo Boise has continuously reviewed its grant making process and is always looking for ways to maximize the impact of the grants it makes. With that in mind, the Zoo Boise Conservation Fund will now be focusing on making long-term partnerships with select wildlife conservation groups in an effort to make their work more sustainable. After grants to these conservation partners have been made, a pool of funds may remain for wildlife conservation groups to apply for funding and for Zoo Boise visitors to select the recipients.
Exact details as to the amount available to be granted in 2013, dates for conservation applications and updated application forms are not available at this time, as much of it depends upon the number of visitors to Zoo Boise and the conservation attractions they choose to participate in. For the 2013 grant cycle, applications will be accepted by invitation only. Requests for proposals will be sent in some time this fall.
