Gorongosa National Park

Since the creation of the Zoo Boise Conservation Fund in 2006, Zoo Boise has changed its mission and evolved into a leading zoo conservation organization. Now more than just a place to see some of the world's most spectacular creatures, Zoo Boise has redefined what a zoo can be and turned the act of visiting the zoo into a conservation action.

Zoo Boise plans to build a replica of Gorongosa National Park at the zoo and to make much needed changes to other areas of the zoo in the next few years.  Learn more about our conservation programs and future plans below, including how you can become a part of these exciting developments.
