2010 New Attractions

At Zoo Boise, we are always working to make the zoo educational, affordable and, most importantly, fun and exciting!  We have big plans for 2010, which include 4 new attractions and updates to other exhibits.  Be sure to visit Zoo Boise often to see what we have in store.

Zoo Farm

You'll have a chance to get up close and feed the new goats and sheep.  There are even a few lambs and kids recently born for you to check out!  The Zoo Farm will be open year round and you'll be able to feed the animals for only $.25.

The Zoo Farm is brought to you by your friends at Farm Bureau.

Giraffe Encounters

Have you been dreaming of getting nose-to-nose with Zoo Boise's giraffes?  Here is your chance.  Daily, from 10:15 - 11:00 am (weather permitting), visitors will be able to feed Julius and Joseph at a brand new Giraffe Encounter!  At the giraffe encounter, you'll get 3 treats for the giraffes for only $3.

Giraffe feedings will be limited to the first 50 visitors daily.

The Giraffe Encounter is generously sponsored by Perkins Coie.

Conservation Cruise

The Conservation Cruise takes visitors across the lagoon to a mangabey monkey exhibit and over to the African Plains Exhibit. There will be several changes for the boat ride this year. First, the price per person is being lowered to $1 per person. Second, the boat ride will include a mini-education program. And third, in partnership with Treasure Valley Solar, the Conservation Cruise will now be solar powered!

Wallaby Walkabout

Take a journey to Australia at Zoo Boise's new Wallaby Walkabout!  The exhibit will feature Parma and Bennett's wallabies and kookaburras, as well.  Visitors will be able to walk into the exhibit with the wallabies.  The Wallaby Walkabout is included with your admission to the zoo.
