Beastly Breakfasts

Join us at a beastly hour for breakfast at Zoo Boise!  Learn what goes on at Zoo Boise before teh gates open to the public with a special tour of the zoo.  After you have your breakfast, stay to learn more about some of our amazing animals through an up-close animal encounter, a chance to see a special animal feeding or enrichment, games, and other activities.  Beastly Breakfasts include continental breakfast and a take home souvenir!

Age group: For children ages 5 and older.  Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Class cost: Friends of Zoo Boise members - $5.00 per person
                   City of Boise residents - $7.00 per person
                   All others - $9.00 per person

Are you a cat expert?  Then become one!  Explore all aspects of cats from natural history and behavior to habitats and conservation.  Join us for a "roaring" good time!

Africa!

Saturday, November 1, 8:30- 10:00 am (Activity #8017.111)

Explore the African plains through this NEW exhibit which features giraffes, lions, zebras, a variety of birds, and something called a "rock hyrax."  In addition to the animals & habitats, learn more about the human cultures that call African plains their home.

Zoo Night Prowl

Have you ever actually seen a fruit bat fly?  Can hearing an owl hoot be dangerous to your health and safety?  Why do animal eyes glow at night?  What do snow leopards do in the dark?  Find out by joining us for a nocturnal (nighttime) trek through the zoo!  While visiting zoo exhibits, we will learn owl calls, meet a nocturnal animal up close, hear stories and dispel myths of Zoo Boise's nighttime creatures.  Children will receive a goody bag!  Please dress for outdoor weather.

Age group: For children ages 6 and older.  Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Class Size:  Maximum of 25 participants.

                   City of Boise residents - $8.00 per person
                   All others - $10.00 per person
