See if you have what it takes to take care of zoo critters! Find out about the variety of animal diets that are prepared daily at the zoo, take a peek behind -the-scenes at the zoo kitchen, and practice training techniques that help zoo keepers manage the zoo's diverse animals collection.

Big cats look a lot like just a bigger version of a house cat and there are similarities between them. Come find out what they are and how the big cats do things in the wild.
Learn what lions, tigers and jaguars like to eat, how they live and how much they have and don't have in common with our house cats.

What do bats, hyenas, ocelots, and owls have in common? They are nocturnal! Join us for a unique night trek through the zoo to discover what Zoo Boise's animals do after dark. Hot chocolate provided!

  • Registration for Boise residents (including FoZB pass holders that are also Boise residents) begins on December 12 and all others on December 19.
