Wild Family Weekend


Families and children will have fascinating wildlife adventures this summer through programs that are both educational and FUN at Zoo Boise!  Each program features a variety of activities that include animal close-up encounters, hands-on activities, in-depth investigations, games, art projects, and perhaps creating a diet or enrichment treat for a zoo animal.




Age group: For children ages 6 and older and an accompanying adult.

Class cost per person:
Friends of Zoo Boise Annual Pass holders- $7.00
          Boise residents - $9.00
          All others - $12.00

Registration Information:
To register for Zoo Boise programs, contact Fort Boise Community Center at 384-4486.  Registration for Friends of Zoo Boise annual passholders is accepted by phone or walk-in only.

Registration for Boise residents begins on April 19 and for all others on April 26. Please reference your preferred session's activity number when calling.

G’day mate!  All you sheilas & blokes are invited to join Zoo Boise for a continental breakfast then head to the outback for the zoo’s Wallaby mob & Kookaburra exhibit before opening time.  Meet the zookeepers who care for these animals and will provide them with a special morning treat! 

 Cost per person: FoZB annual passholder $7.00, Resident $9.00, Others $12.00

Family Snooze at the Zoo Overnight

(Ages 7 to adult)

A memorable experience is sure to be had by those who experience Snooze at the Zoo!  Zoo guides will provide your family with evening and early morning treks through the zoo to investigate animals as well as their habitats, behavior, and care.  Activities, games, art projects, and up-close animal encounters are also part of the Snooze at the Zoo adventure.  Evening snack, continental breakfast, and outdoor sleeping area provided.  Snooze at the Zoo is for families with kids aged 7 to 11 and 1 adult chaperone to 4 kids.  Children’s parent must be present throughout the entire program.  Details regarding items to bring and food options will be sent to you one week prior to the program.

Cost per person:  Zoo Boise annual passholders $35, Boise Residents $40, Others $45
