Zoo Boise Opens Wallaby Walkabout

Memorial Day Weekend will mark the grand opening of Zoo Boise’s newest exhibit, the Wallaby Walkabout. The exhibit will feature three Bennett’s wallabies and three Parma wallabies. Wallabies are small marsupials from Australia and related to kangaroos. The exhibit will also include a laughing kookaburra, an Australian bird.  Visitors will be able to walk into the Wallaby Walkabout and see the wallabies up-close. Entrance into the Wallaby Walkabout it included with admission to Zoo Boise.

Zoo Boise is also announcing special summer hours. Now through September 14, the zoo will remain open until 7:00 pm on Monday and Tuesday nights. From June 1 until August 31, the zoo will open early at 9:00 am daily.
